EMINEM DENIES ROSS NO. 1

rick-ross-eminemSouthern Rapper Rick Ross’ Teflon Don was held back from the number 1 spot by Eminem’s Recovery Album which sits atop the charts for the 5th week running. Last week pundits had predicted that Bawse was going to dethrone Eminem who has been at the top since he released his album over a month ago, but Eminem sold 187,000 units as opposed to Ross’ 176,000.

Rick Ross has debuted at number one with his last three albums, and his latest sales surpass his last albums (Deeper Than Rap) first week sales (158,000).
With this latest release, Ross looks set to hit at least gold status, as for Eminem, he is already over platinum and still going.

Eminem’s sales were boosted in part with the current success of his single I Love The Way You Lie, which also currently sits atop the digital download charts.

At number 4 is Young Money rapper Drake whose Thank Me Later pushed 47,000, while teen sensation Justin Beiber is still holding it down at no. 6 with My World 2.0 having pushed 39,000 in the last week.
