J.LO ON AMERICAN IDOL
Actress/singer Jennifer Lopez finally has something going for her. She has been chosen to replace Ellen DeGeneres as a judge on American Idol for the next season. The 90s diva has been missing from the scene big time ever since she took a break to start a family with hubby singer Mark Anthony. After the birth of her twins, J Lo, as she was once popularly known, has struggled to find some relevance in the industry with her last album canned, her contract with Sony Music terminated and her last movie The Back Up Plan registering a disaster at the box office.
No doubt this opportunity is a chance for her to rejuvenate her career like it did for Paula Abdul who was just a washed out nineties star when she was chosen as a judge on the show, and now has a reality show of her own.

Jennifer is NEVER going to be relevant again!!! She was a wanna-be-black chick when it suited her career to be one and after she achieved a small measure of success off the dollar of her black fan base, she returned to her “roots” and ditched the music that made her big. She tried to cross over to more Pop centric stuff and even made a spanish album. Now she is a has-been. Black folks in the US don’t relate to her brand no more and white folks never will cuz no matter how hard she tries she’ll never be white. She thought she was established enough to jump ship but she was not. Now she’s over.
