MANI CAN’T STOP MANI’S PARTY
Hip-hop collision didn’t happen on Wednesday, but the party didn’t stop. People still went to Rock Bottom to check what was going down that night despite the fact that DJ Mani had announced that the gig was cancelled.
Mani who was at the time playing in another gig, says he was surprised by the turn out to the cancelled gig especially given the fact that it was a Wednesday night, a weekday. The DJ adds that…
I was amazed to see so many new faces that night, which means hip hop is growing in Bombay at least I can say.
In the house were Mumbai’s Finest and some of the usual suspects including Swordfish & Akshata.
In other related news, Skyways has opened their own night club which will be promoting hip hop and house music mainly, 7 days a week. The Name of the joint is CLUB 100 (one zero zero) and it’s located in Andheri west, behind Fun Republic.
Mani was spinning at the launch party of the new place when he got a call from Rock Bottom saying, many people had arrived there for the collision, so he had to leave the launch party and get to Rock Bottom to entertain the awaiting fans.
The new venue is set to hold big hip hop and house events in the near future, and no doubt, the Mumbai hip hop crowd will be eagerly awaiting this.
